Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's petition dated 28.03.2016 and pay the compensation amount in respect of the petitioner's land in Survey No.235/5 (part) measuring total extent of 5670 sq.ft (approximately 12.75 cents) bearing Plot Nos.758, 759 and 760 in Sholinganallur Village, now Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, by fixing a time limit.

The petitioner made a representation on 28.03.2016 to the respondents seeking adequate compensation.

2. The learned counsel for the Tamil Nadu Housing Board would fairly submit that though the petitioner's name was not mentioned in the award passed, subsequently it came to light that the petitioner has purchased the property. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Considering the submissions made, a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.03.2016 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the result to the petitioner.

4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
