Mr. C.Baskaran Government Advocate Crl Side

ORDER

This Court, vide order dated 18.07.2024, granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.16809 of 2024 on condition that the petitioner shall execute sureties within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a

copy of this order before the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Valangaiman and on further condition that the petitioner shall report before the respondent police on every alternate days at 10.30 a.m., for a period of eight weeks and with other conditions.

2. The petitioner submits that due to his poor financial condition, he was unable to arrange sureties. Hence he could not comply with the condition and filed the present petition seeking extension of time. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police strongly opposed the petitioner's contention and submitted that after obtaining anticipatory bail, the petitioner had committed yet another offence on 19.05.2025 and a case in Crime No.151 of 2025 for the offence punishable under Sections 61(2) of BNS, 25(1)(a) of Arms Act have been registered by the respondent police. Further, the petitioner to his credit has got eight previous cases and he is a notorious rowdy with history sheet No.340/2021. Hence, learned Government Advocate strongly opposed the

petitioner's extension of time petition.

4. The petitioner is a notorious rowdy with history sheet No.340/2021 and further the petitioner has got eight previous cases and it is not new for the petitioner to approach the Court for getting bail and executing sureties. In the present case the petitioner had obtained anticipatory bail as early as on 18.07.2024, thereafter he had not taken any steps to execute the sureties. Only after involving himself in another offence dated 19.05.2025, when the police had gone in search of him, the petitioner has filed the present petition.

5. In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to entertain the petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition stands dismissed. 06-06-2025 gbi Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes
