This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to grant the petitioner promotion as Trained Graduate Teacher in the second respondent school by considering his representation dated 03.03.2025 and grant him all consequential benefits.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the first respondent to grant the petitioner promotion as Trained Graduate Teacher in the second respondent school by considering his representation dated 03.03.2025 and grant him all consequential benefits."

2. The petitioner was appointed as a Primary School Teacher at MES Government Aided High School, Karaikal on 01.09.2001. The petitioner would submit that upon promotion of one G.Vinmani, a vacancy arose in the sanctioned post of Trained Graduate Teacher in the said school.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is fully qualified for promotion to the said post and the said school had already sent a proposal to the 1st respondent. Thereafter, the petitioner sent a representation dated 03.03.2026, to the 1st respondent through proper channel. However, there is no response to the same. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 03.03.2026 has not been considered to date, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
