Prayer :- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to issue an order of direction to consider the representation dated 17.02.2022 submitted by the petitioners which was forwarded by the petitioners to the respondents, which was later converted in to an appeal by the 2nd respondent and forwarded the same to the 3rd respondent by his letter dated Na.Ka.No. 6444/ T1/ 2022 dated 21.03.2022 to the 3rd respondent and direct the 3rd respondent to dispose the said appeal on merits to with a speaking order within the time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court. The learned counsel for the petitioners state that with reference to the deficit stamp duty demanded by the Registering Authority in respect of the settlement deed presented by the petitioners, an appeal was preferred which was referred to the Deputy Inspector General of Registration for conducting an inquiry.

2. In view of the fact that the appeal preferred by the petitioners is pending for adjudication, the Deputy Inspector General of Registration / 2/4

third respondent is directed to conduct an inquiry by affording opportunity to all the parties and take a decision and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

3. With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. (sha) 31.07.2023 Index : Yes Speaking Order To
