ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to grant family pension to the petitioner on the death of her husband G.Moorthi, who worked as a Assistant Male Nurse in the Kilpauk Government Medical College Hospital, Kilpauk.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's husband was working as a Assistant Male Nurse at Kilpauk Government Medical College Hospital, Kilpauk, Chennai and he had retired from service on 30.09.2002. Subsequently, the petitioner's husband died on 18.11.2014. In this connection, the petitioner has made a representation dated 18.03.2025 claiming family pension and such representation is yet to be considered by the respondents. Hence the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel for the respondents would submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation within a reasonable time. 3/6
4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.
5. Taking into consideration of the fact that the representation made by the petitioner is yet to be considered, this Court, without going into merits of the matter, deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2025 and pass order on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
