This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to file final report in Crime No.01 of 2020 dated 12.10.2020 pending on the file of respondent Police.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in Crime No.01 of 2020 on 12.10.2020, no final report is filed till date.

3. Mr.N.Muthuvel, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent police is awaiting for sanction of prosecution from the Srilankan Embassy.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed. However, the respondent police is directed to expedite the investigation and file the final report.
