This petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 17.08.2015 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Choonambedu Police Station, Kancheepuram District.

Heard both sides.

The petitioner herein has lodged a complaint on 17.08.2015 against one Subramani and four others on the ground that they trespassed and entered into his premises on 18.07.2015 and cut down the trees thereon and when the petitioner and his brother questioned the same, the said Subramani and others quarrelled with the petitioner and made an attempt to attack them with axe and other wood cutting weapons. Since no action is taken on the petitioner's complaint, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner has not produced any proof to show that the complaint was lodged.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the petitioner herein to send a copy of the complaint dated 17.08.2015 to the respondent police within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the respondent police is directed to enquire the matter and proceed further in accordance with law.
