Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of MANDAMUS, directing the second respondent herein to forthwith consider and pass orders on the appeal dated 14.08.2015 filed by the petitioner against the order of punishment dated 16.07.2015 by the third respondent herein in letter No.A.1/TP.18/2015. Heard Ms.AL.Ganthimathi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Dhananjeyan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage. 2.The writ petitioner entered into police service as Sub Inspector of Police on 16.04.1999. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner contended that the writ petitioner was awarded with an order of punishment of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

postponement of increment for one year and the period of postponement shall not operate to postpone his future increments. As against the order of punishment, the writ petitioner preferred an appeal to the second respondent on 14.08.2015.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if the second respondent is directed to consider the appeal preferred by the writ petitioner and take a decision on that.

4.In view of the limited prayer sought for by the writ petitioner, the writ petitioner is directed to submit a copy of the appeal along with the order passed in this Writ Petition to the second respondent and on receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the appeal preferred by the writ petitioner on 14.08.2015, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
