Challenging the order of the first respondent/the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Karaikal dated 19.02.2025 in M.C.No.12 of 2025, the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner. Further, the petitioners seek a direction to the first respondent to consider his representation dated 19.02.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners as well as the learned Public Prosecutor (Pondy) appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2.

3. The entire facts of the case is with regard to the management of the

private temple and there are many proceedings by the revenue authorities with regard to the claims of the parties. As the parties to the dispute are claiming right over the temple, it is for them to establish their right before the Competent Court instead of approaching the revenue authorities and police, as the same will not serve any purpose to solve their issue.

4. As per the order of the first respondent herein dated 19.02.2025, the petitioners along with the rival party or any other members/representatives of the either parties are prohibited from conducting any festival in the subject temple for a period of two months. But however, the period of prohibitory order was already over. Hence nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter and therefore, the Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed, if any. There shall be no orders as to costs.
