Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 26.10.2021 and 11.01.2022 in pursuance of the report called by the first respondent from the second respondent in O.Mu.No.85107/2021/A2/dated 27.12.2021 within the time frame.

Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
2. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition, this writ petition is being disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents and after dispensing with counter of the respondents.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner has sent a representation dated 26.10.2021 to the first respondent Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Endowment Board and that the first respondent Commissioner by his communication dated 27.12.2021 bearing Ref.
No.O.Mu.No.85107/2021/a2. has instructed the second respondent
Joint Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Endowment Board, to take steps and give a report. Despite lapse of six months, it appears that no steps have been taken till date.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has also sent another representation dated 11.01.2022 to the first respondent Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Endowment Board. Till date, no orders have been passed or report has been generated pursuant to the reference/communication of the first respondent Commissioner dated 27.12.2021.
5. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents submits that appropriate steps will be taken and the petitioner representations dated 26.10.2021 and 11.01.2022, will be considered and disposed in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks.
6. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of in view of the above undertaking of the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. No costs.
