ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 07.06.2022. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that on the complaint of one Nalini Narayanan, the petitioner was called for enquiry by the respondent Police. During enquiry, the petitioner repaid the amount of Rs.5,00,000/- to the said Nalini Narayanan in presence of respondent Police and remaining amount to be paid. He further submitted that only for enquiry, the summons have been issued and the respondent Police not harassed the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.In such view of the matter, this Court finds that it is purely a money dispute between the petitioner and the counter petitioner Nalini Narayanan, there is no necessity for the 2nd respondent Police to coerce the petitioner for enquiry. 5.Hence, the 2nd respondent Police shall not act as a collecting agent and shall not interfere with the money dispute between the petitioner and the counter petitioner. If any cognizable offence is made out, it is the duty of the 2nd respondent Police to proceed as per law.

6.In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
