ORDER
This criminal original petition has been filed to transfer the investigation pending on the file of the 2nd respondent in Crime No.240/2018 and transfer the same to the 3rd respondent. 2.The petitioner defacto complainant had lodged a complaint and on her complaint, the case in Crime No.240 of 2018 for offence under Section 420 IPC has been registered. 3.The contention of the petitioner is that though FIR has been registered in the year 2018, so far no action has been taken. Hence, seeks transfer of investigation. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that in this case, investigation is almost completed and charge
sheet to be filed shortly, most probably within a period of two months. He further submits that in this case, A1 was arrested. A2 is absconding. A3 &A4 have obtained Anticipatory bail. 5.The counsel for the petitioner submitted that A1 in this case is in the police department and hence, no action is taken. Earlier on 10.09.2020, The Superintendent of Police, Thiruvarur, had directed the District Crime Branch to take up the investigation and to complete the investigation within a week time and the week is being prolonged so far, according to the respondent police, that week is yet to come.
6.Considering that despite the direction of the Superintendent of Police in C.No.C1/11907/2020 dated 10/09/2020, for obvious reason the charge sheet is yet to be filed in this case, this Court feels that it would be appropriate that the Superintendent of Police, Thiruvarur, to monitor the case and ensure that the case comes to logical end, preferably within a period of six months from the filing of the charge sheet. 7.With the abovesaid direction, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
