Ramesh, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondent and with their consent, the main writ petitions are taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The writ petitions have been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking direction to the respondent herein to consider and dispose of the applications dated 24.08.2015 of the petitioners herein to issue All India Contract Carriage Permits forthwith to them.

3. The petitioners have applied for issue of All India Contract Carriage Permit to the respondent on 24.08.2015 along with necessary required documents and fees, also pointing out that they are the existing contract carriage operators in the State of Tamil Nadu from 1994 and 1999 respectively. But, till date, there is no response. Hence, the petitioners have approached this Court.
4. Without going into the merits of the case, these writ petitions are disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the applications of the petitioner for issuing All India Contract Carriage Permit and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
