This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to take appropriate action on the FIR in Crime No.767 of 2016 dated 14.07.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. It is seen that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.767 of 2016 has been registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 506(i) IPC against one Ravi and his wife.

4. Now the petitioner has come up with this petition for a direction to take appropriate action on the FIR.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent-Police is directed to expeditiously conduct investigation in Crime No.767 of 2016 and take action in accordance with law, and either close the case or file a final report.
