Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Declaration, declaring that the action of the respondent Bank in not including the name of the petitioner in the list of names in the Zone of Selection for promotion from Senior Management Grade Scale IV (SMGS IV) to Senior Management Grade Scale V (SMGS V) for the year 2014-15 pursuant to the Circular No.PER/2014-15/40 dated 02.07.2014 issued by second respondent as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to law and consequently direct the respondent Bank to draw the list for promotion from SMGS IV to SMGS V for the year 2014-15 by including the name of the petitioner in the appropriate place and thereafter go ahead with the interview process. The writ petition has been posted under the caption 'for withdrawal' based on the letter dated 20.12.2016 given by the learned counsel for the petitioner before the Registry.
