O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the 2nd respondent to register a case on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner dated 05.10.2014 and to investigate the same in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint as against one Kaveriselvan stating that he had abused and threatened the petitioner with dire consequences. Though the said complaint was given on 05.10.2014, till date no action was taken. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on receipt of the complaint of the petitioner, C.S.R.No.977 of 2014 has been assigned. Thereafter, enquiry was conducted and the same was closed stating that the complaint was lodged on the false allegation. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Since the complaint has already been closed, recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this criminal original petition is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to workout his remedy under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C., if he so desires.
