09.05.2022 passed by the second respondent herein and quash the same and direct the respondents herein to produce the body of the detenu, namely, Gowrisankar @ Sankar S/o.Loganathan, aged 28 years, No.4/63, Sakthi Kovil Vattam, Periyaputtur, Kondalampatty, Salem City, Salem District, who is now confined in Central Prison, Salem, Salem District, before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Made by N.ANAND VENKATESH, J] The petitioner is the friend of the detenu viz., Gowrisankar @ Sankar S/o.Loganathan, aged 28 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his order in C.M.P.No.40/Goonda/Salem City/2022 dated 09.05.2022, holding him to be a "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the detention order passed against the detenu in C.M.P.No.40/Goonda/Salem 2/4

City/2022 dated 09.05.2022, on the file of the second respondent is revoked vide G.O.Rt.No.3905, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 28.06.2022 and produced a copy of the said order. In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
