O R D E R

The present Contempt Petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondent under the provisions of Contempt of Courts Act for willful disobedience of the order passed in W.P.No.30219 of 2024 on 20.11.2024. 2.

This Court, in W.P.No.30219 of 2024, vide order dated 20.11.2024, directed the officer who is required to enquire into the complaint to complete his responsibility within a period of four months from 20.11.2024. While this being so, the present petition has been filed arraying the Deputy Superintendent of of Police, Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, as the sole respondent.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, it was brought to the notice of this Court that the authority required to comply with the order dated 20.11.2024 passed in W.P.No.30219 of 2024, is the Chief Engineer, Distribution, TANGEDCO, Kanchipuram Zone, Kanchipuram and he is not the alleged contemnor/respondent herein. 4.

In view of the above, this Contempt Petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to proceed against the Chief Engineer, 2/4

Distribution, TANGEDCO, Kanchipuram Zone, Kanchipuram, who is bound to obey the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.30219 of 2024 dated 20.11.2024, if so advised.
