O R D E R

The petitioner is an agriculturist having 5 acres of cultivable land alongwith a well. Therefore, for the purpose of irrigation of water from the well, the petitioner applied for agricultural electricity connection with the 1st respondent by way of application on 11.08.2011. The first respondent vide communication dated 12.08.2011 informed the petitioner that necessary steps have been taken in giving electricity connection and directed the petitioner to approach the Manager, THADCO, Villupuram. Since no action was taken by the respondents, the petitioner again made a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation to the respondents on 27.07.2015. So far, no order has been passed by the respondents and hence the petitioner has come before this Court.

2. Heard Mr.K.Gajendiran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Varun Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. Taking into consideration the representation submitted by the petitioner for providing agricultural electricity connection, it is appropriate to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner on its own merits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition is disposed of with above direction. No costs.
