O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 04.09.2015 and investigate the same in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint as against one Tamilarasan, Mathialagan, Pandian, Karthick and Manimaran alleging that they were waylaid the petitioner and attacked him with knife. Though the said complaint was given on 04.09.2015, till date no action was taken. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, already a case has been registered in Crime No.3406 of 2015 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 324 and 336 IPC as against 12 persons and the same is under investigation.

4. Since a case was already registered on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, the prayer that has been made in the present petition has become infructuous. Hence, the criminal original petition is closed.
