Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent herein to issue patta for the petitioner's property at No.6, Thiruveethi Amman Koil Street, Aminjikarai, Chennai-600 029, comprised in Old Survey No.70/A, New Survey No.29/70-8 (part) within the limits of Aminjikarai Village and Taluk, Registration District of Central Madras, Sub-Registration District of Anna Nagar and Corporation Division Old No.68, New No.102. Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the second respondent to issue patta in respect of the property situated at No.6, Thiruveethi Amman Koil Street, Aminjikarai, Chennai-600 029.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the request made by her on 26.08.2017 was not considered so far, though the first respondent through a communication dated 01.09.2017 directed the second respondent to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2017.
4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, I only direct the second respondent to consider the request of the petitioner for grant of patta and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
