The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to give police protection to the petitioner.
2. The petitioner is an ex-service man and he was allotted land by the Government in Survey No.784/1, Neithavoyal Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District for doing cultivation and he has been paying taxes since 1976. The petitioner purchased a borewell in his name and entered into an agreement with his neighbour on 24.10.2002 for bringing the pipeline for the purpose of transmitting water to his land. While so, one Nandiam Devaraj along with his rowdy elements threatened petitioner and criminally intimidated the petitioner over phone and asked the petitioner to handover the land to them and on 06.07.2013, one Raghavalu and other goondas trespassed into the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
petitioner's land and cut the electric wire apart from breaking the air pipe. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 15.08.2015 before the second respondent seeking police protection. Since the same was considered so far, the petitioner came forward to file this petition. 3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondent. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on receipt of the complaint C.S.R.No.825 of 2015 has been signed and the same is pending enquiry.
5. Considering the rival submissions, this Court directs the second respondent to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders with regard to providing of police protection as early as possible preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
6. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
