The petitioners herein a named accused in a complaint given by one Manu Abraham.

The sum and substance of the complaint is that the named accused persons had abducted the brother of the complainant for extracting money. A case has been registered in Crime No.386 of 2023 for the offence under Sections 364A, 342, 294(b), 323 & 506(1) IPC. 3.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners states that the defacto complainant's brother and the accused persons are childhood friends and they were decided to settle the dispute amicably. Hence prays that the FIR has to be quashed.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that by impersonating as the CCB, the accused persons has gone to the house of the victim and forcibly taken him away in an Ertiga car. Based on the CCTV footage, the accused persons been identified and the case has been registered. Further, states that the investigation is at advance stage and final report will be filed within a period of 15 days, since the adequate evidence been collected 2/4
against these petitions to proceed against them. 5.
The submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) which reveals the cognizable offence and since substantial material available to proceed against these petitioners, this Criminal Original Petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to quash the First Information Report is dismissed.
