The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register a case against the proposed accused in pursuance of the Petitioner's complaint dated 02.11.2015 and prosecute him in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint against her husband on the allegation of dowry demand. The marriage between the petitioner and her husband took place on 26.01.2015. At the time of marriage, the petitioner had given 25 sovereigns of gold, diamond ring, diamond necklace and silver articles about 2.0 Kgs and has spent about 7,00,000/- for the furniture and other expenses. Inspite of the same, there was a dowry demand. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The petitioner was harassed by her husband and in-laws. Hence, she lodged a complaint on 02.11.2015. However, no complaint was registered so far. Hence, the petitioner has come forward to file this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. Today when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the police has assigned C.S.R.428 of 2015 to the complaint given by the petitioner and the same is pending for enquiry.

5. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent is directed to complete the enquiry and proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.

6. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
