ORDER
The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider his appeal dated 19.09.2016 filed against the order passed by the Thasildar, dated 30.06.2016, requesting for issuance of patta in respect of his property the house site bearing S.No.1368/16 and S.No.1368/36 to an extent of 3600 sq.ft and a old tiled 3 Ankanam house, situated at Khaji Saheb Street, Denkanikottai Town, Krishnagiri District and dispose of the same, within a time frame.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has filed the appeal before the respondent as early as on 19.09.2016, the same has not yet been disposed of by the respondent.
3. Mr.S.V.Doraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader, taking notice for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal, in accordance with law, within a time frame.
4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 19.09.2016 filed by the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
