ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal and disposed of by this order.

Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondents.

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking for a mandamus to direct the respondents to grant appointment to the petitioner in a suitable post on compassionate ground by considering his dated 19.03.2019 within a time frame.

The case of the petitioner is that his father joined the service as Social Forestry Worker on 21.03.1987 and subsequently, his service was brought into regular time scale of pay. It is further stated by the petitioner that his father, while he was in service, died on 17.08.2017 leaving behind his mother, petitioner and his sister as the legal heirs. The petitioner submitted an application on 19.03.2019 seeking appointment on compassionate ground to the respondents. Since the said representation did not evoke any kind of response, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition seeking the aforesaid relief.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2019 within a stipulated time frame.

This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and also perused the materials placed before it.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in his representation or in this writ petition and without prejudice to the contentions of either parties, directs the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2019 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner herein.

The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
