Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the District Revenue Officer, the Commissioner, Salem Corporation, the 2nd respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.03.2016 for the renewal of lease for the purpose of cultivation in accordance with law and to dispose of the same in accordance with law within the time frame as stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Seeking consideration of the renewal application for lease made by the petitioner by way of a representation dated 02.03.2016, the present writ petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be looked into.

3. Considering the fact that the representation made by the petitioner dated 02.03.2016 is pending consideration, without going into the merits of the case, the petitioner is directed to send a copy of the said representation to the second respondent along with the copy of this order within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the said representation of the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
