Prayer (in all WPs) Petitions filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to receive the application of the petitioner dated 10.5.2016 in form CC PA and the and the prescribed fee for the grant of an Auto Rickshaw Permit "and to consider the same. 2. The petitioners have filed these writ petitions seeking a direction to the respondents to receive their applications for grant of auto rickshaw permits and consider the same.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that there is a need for more auto rickshaws on account of the fact that several existing permit holders have stopped their operations and surrendered their permits.

4. In any event, as the petitioners' applications have not been received by the respondents, without going into the merits of the case as projected by the petitioners, the writ petitions are disposed of with a direction to the respondents to receive the petitioners' applications, consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date, on which, the applications are presented, along with the copy of this order.
