ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents not to harass the petitioners.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioners 1 & 2 are the parent of Dilli Baskar, who is involved in a case in Crime No.8 of 2016 for the offences under Sections 417, 493 and 506(i) IPC, on the complaint given by one Suriya, whom the said Dilli Baskar had promised to marry and had a sexual contact with her on account of which, she has conceived. These petitioners are protecting the said Dilli Baskar.

4. Under such circumstances, blanket order of 'not to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

harass' cannot be passed. However, the petitioners are directed to co-operate with the enquiry and during the course of enquiry, they shall not be harassed. However, if any cognizable offence is made out, this order would not be a shield against the arrest of the accused.

5. With the above direction,this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
