O R D E R

On the complaint lodged by Sajitha Banu, the second respondent, the first respondent registered a case in Crime No.4/2017 on 20.02.2017 under Sections 498(A), 406 IPC and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition Women Harassment Act, 2002 against Mohammed Aashik (A1) and Fathima (A2) for quashing which, this petition has been filed on the ground that the parties have arrived at a compromise.

2. Today, S.Tamilselvi, WHC-36797 is present. The petitioner and the second respondent are present. The second respondent has filed an affidavit dated 23.04.2018, wherein at paragraph No.4, it is stated as follows:

"4. I submit that since the matter has been amicably settled on the mutually agreed terms as stated above, and as I have agreed to not to proceed with the prosecution of the above criminal case in Cr.No.4 of 2017, which is now pending investigation https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

on the file of the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Tambaram, the 1st respondent, I do not have any objection in this Hon'ble Court, quashing the proceedings of the above said criminal case in Cr.No.4 of 2017, which is now pending investigation on the file of the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Tambaram, the 1st respondent and I am filing this affidavit to that effect."

3.In view of the above, this petition is allowed and the FIR in Cr.No.4/2017 pending on the file of the first respondent police is hereby quashed.
