ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent not to interfere with the administration of "Sri Radha Rukmani Venugopala Krishna Swamy Temple" situated at New Yadhavar Street, Sevoor Village & Post, Arani Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that there was dispute between two groups in the administration of "Sri Radha Rukmani Venugopala Krishna Swamy Temple" in Sevoor Village, Arani Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District, in connection with which the respondent Police registered a case in Crime No.84 of 2016 under Section 107 Cr.P.C. and has referred both the parties to appear before the Executive Magistrate viz., Revenue Divisional Officer, Cheyyar.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the Police have no role and will not interfere with the administration of the temple. But, if there is any law and order problem, it is the duty of the police to interpose under Section 149 Cr.P.C. which cannot be curtailed.

5. Recording the submission, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
