ORDER

This petition is filed for a direction to the respondent to register the First Information Report based on the petitioner's complaint dated 20.11.2014.

2.The case of the petitioner is that one Venkat Raghaven @ Venkataraman approached the petitioner through a common friend stating that he is doing the business of buying and selling new cars and further stated that he knows several car companies and the said car companies used to sell new vehicles for a cheaper price even if there is a slight scratch on the body of the car and further stated that he got one swift car in Khivraj Maruti Showroom for a cheaper price though the original price of the car is Rs.5.75 Lakhs and thus induced the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.4 Lakhs so that he can buy a car for him and believing his words, the petitioner has paid him a sum of Rs.4 Lakhs. But, subsequently, he has not contacted him and hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint with the respondent police. Though the complaint has been assigned C.S.R.No.460 of 2014, till date no action has been taken. Hence, this petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.When the matter is taken up for consideration today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the respondent went to the address given by the petitioner searching for Venkat Raghaven @ Venkataraman, but the address given by the petitioner is not a proper address and therefore, they are not in a position to proceed with the matter.

4.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. 5.In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the petitioner to furnish the correct address of the said Venkat Raghaven @ Venkataraman to the respondent and on such address being furnished, the respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner which has been assigned C.S.R.No.460 of 2014 and dispose of the same in accordance with law, as early as possible.

6.With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
