The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 05.07.2014 and investigate the same in accordance with law.

2. In the petition, it has been stated that the petitioner is working as a Mason and he was engaged by one K.R.J.Sekar and his brother Parthasarathy to construct two houses in Ayapakkam and in this regard, they have also entered into an agreement. For completion of work, the petitioner has requested them to pay the balance amount of Rs.2,50,000/-. But, inspite of paying the balance amount, they have threatened the petitioner with dire consequences. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 05.07.2014. But, till date no action was taken. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present criminal original petition.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner an enquiry was conducted and the same was closed.
