The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner and his family members.
2. The case of the petitioner is that a complaint was lodged by one Raman as against the petitioner. The said complaint is in respect of the family dispute between them. In this regard, O.S.No.61 of 2015 has been filed by the said Raman and the suit in O.S. 186 of 2014 has been filed by the cousin of the petitioner and both the suits are pending before the District Munsif, Thirupatthur. Based on the complaint given by the said Raman, the respondents are frequently calling the petitioner and harassing the petitioner and his family members. 3. When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that one Raman has lodged a complaint against the petitioner in respect of the property dispute and the same is pending for enquiry before the third respondent police. The counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondent police is harassing the petitioner and his family members based on the said complaint. But the said statement is denied by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and only in order to avoid the enquiry, the petitioner has filed the present petition.
4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is constrained to pass the following order:- (i) The petitioner is directed to cooperate with the enquiry.
(ii) The respondents are directed to conduct the enquiry in accordance with law, without harassing the petitionerand his family members.
5. The criminal original petition is ordered accordingly.
