Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to permit the petitioner to pay the balance Additional Security Deposit of Rs.67,68,228/- alone in 10 monthly installments, along with the regular current consumption charges for its H.T.Service Connection No.019094041778, M/s.Janakiram Steel and Power Pvt. Ltd.

O R D E R

The petitioner by this writ petition is seeking for a direction to permit him to pay the Additional Security Deposit of Rs.67,68,228/-, in ten Equal Monthly Installments [EMIs], along with the regular current consumption charges.

2. The petitioner placed reliance on similar orders passed by this Court dated 09.05.2018 in WP Nos.12118 to 12124 of 2018. He has also placed reliance on other orders granting similar relief.

3. Mr.P.H.Arvind Pandian, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the State would contend that though there are similar orders, the Electricity Board has decided to carry these matters in appeal for the reason that it is contrary to the regulations framed by the Electricity Department.

4. Be that as it may, as of now, the orders passed by the learned Single Judges of this Court, have not been stayed.

5. In view of the above mentioned facts, the instant writ petition is disposed of, by permitting the petitioner to pay the Additional Security Deposit of Rs.67,68,228/-, in six Equal Monthly Installments [EMIs]. It is made clear that in case the petitioner fails to pay any of the installments, the respondentTANGEDCO, is permitted to proceed against the petitioner, in accordance with law. No costs.
