The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay interest amounts to the petitioner for the belatedly paid Provident Fund, Service Gratuity and Leave Salary amount at the rate of 6% per annum for 21 months of delayed payment in the light of the judgment passed by this Court on 23.10.2024 in W.P.No.30766 of 2024.

It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that when the petitioner, who had retired from the services of the first respondent on 31.05.2023 as Special Grade Conductor, made a representation dated 02.04.2025 to the respondents seeking interest for the belated payment of the terminal benefits, there was no response for the same.
3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents would fairly admits that in view of the similar orders passed by this Court in W.P.Nos. 40031, 33742 and 35806 of 2024, they are willing to pay the interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of the eligible and admissible amount.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to pay the eligible and admissible amount with interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of terminal benefits, from the date of retirement till the date 3/5
of actual disbursal of the terminal benefits of the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
