(2nd respondent is impleaded as per the order of this Hon'ble Court dated 23.05.2019 made in Crl.M.P.No.6724/2019 in Crl.O.P.No.12735/2019) PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated on 16.04.2019 and to give police protection for petitioner and petitioner's son as well as their property. ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for police protection for the petitioner and his son.

2.It is seen from records that the petitioner had leased out his property to one Vanaraj who has been added in the 3rd respondent in this petition. The petitioner has also filed a petition for eviction and the same is pending in RCOP No.61/16, on the file of the Rent Controller at Alandur. In the meantime, since the said Vanaraj is alleged to be an advocate, he is said to be threatening the petitioner and his son and therefore, the petitioner gave a representation to the respondent police on 16.04.2019 seeking for police protection. Since no action was taken, the present petition has been filed.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent police. 4.The 1st respondent police is directed to call the properties for an enquiry and direct the 2nd respondent to workout his remedy in the pending

proceedings and not to cause threat to the petitioner and his son. If inspite of the same, any threat is exerted, the 1st respondent is directed to proceed further action against the 2nd respondent in accordance with law. 5.Accordingly this Criminal Original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
