This Criminal Original Petition has been to call for the records in C.C.No.212 of 2013 on the file of the XV Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai and quash the same.

2. When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that they are ready to face the trial. However, they sought for a direction to dispense with their personal appearance before the trial Court.

3. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this court is constrained to pass the following Order :

1. The learned XV Metropolitan Magistrate is directed to expedite the trial in C.C.No.212 of 2013 along with the connected C.C.No.142 of 2013 on the file of his Court and complete the same as early as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy this Order.

The petitioners are directed to file an application under section 205 Cr.P.C. before the trial Court. On filing of such an application, the trial Court is directed to consider the same and pass an appropriate order on the said application.

4. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.

Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
