PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 herein to take necessary action to open the said dry land measuring 63 cents (0.25.5 Hec) comprised in Survey No. 331/1A3 situate in Ammoor Village Walaja Taluk, Vellore Dist for burial ground to enable the people belonging to Arunthathiar (SC) Community of the Ammoor Village, Walaja Taluk, Vellore District, to make use of the abovesaid land as burial ground. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to take necessary action to open the said dry land measuring 63 cents comprised in Survey No. 331/1A3 situate at Ammoor Village, Walaja Taluk, Vellore District and allowed the said land for burial ground to enable the people belonging to he petitioner's Community. 2.The learned Additional Government Pleader filed a report of the Tahsildar which makes it very clear that the Survey No. 331/1A3 is a patta land and they are in enjoyment and there are many houses also come down 2/5

in Survey No.331/1A3. The petitioner's community people were using S.No.447/3, a Government land as burial ground.

3. In such a view of the matter, I do not find any merit in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 15.04.2024 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No mps To
