Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to transfer the petitioner son Namely Iyappan life convicted detenu No.18314 from Coimbatore Central prison to Vellore Central prison by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.01.2016 given by the petitioner through in person.

ORDER

The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to transfer the petitioner son Namely Iyappan life convicted detenu No.18314 from Coimbatore Central prison to vellore Central prison by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.01.2016 given by the petitioner through in person. 2.

The petitioner seeks direction to the respondents to transfer the petitioner son Namely Iyappan life convicted detenu No.18314. Now, almost three years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, it is not appropriate to direct the second respondent to consider the same. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised. If the second respondent receives a fresh representation from the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider and same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.

With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
