Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing first respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on merits on the Revision Petition filed by them dated 03.01.2017 under Section 114 of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Act, within a time limit.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that inspite of the petitioners' filing the appeal as early as on 03.01.2017, the same has not yet been disposed of. 4.Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal in, accordance with law.
5.Having with regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the first respondent dispose of the appeal dated 03.01.2017 filed by the petitioners under section 114 of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Act, in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
