The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent police to take legal action against the 2nd and 4th respondents herein after registering the case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 03.11.2015 pending in C.S.R.No.165 of 2015.

2. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint as against her husband and in-laws, who have been arrayed as respondents 2 and 3, on the allegation of dowry demand and harassment. Since no action was taken by the first respondent till date, the petitioner came forward to file this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the first respondent.

4. Considering the rival submissions, this Court directs the first respondent to conduct an enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 03.11.2015 pending in C.S.R.No.165 of 2015 and dispose of the same as early as possible in accordance with law.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
