Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, praying to direct the first respondent police to register a FIR based on the petitioner's complaint dated 19.09.2015 and to investigate the matter in accordance with and submit the report within a time frame. ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to register a First Information Report based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 19.09.2015.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is a resident of T.N.H.B. Housing Board and member of T.N.H.B. Urimayalar Podhu Nala Sangam. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint as against one (i) Anbu, President (ii) Janarthanam, Secretary and (iii) Sekar Treasurer of the said Tamilnadu Housing Board Owners Association stating that they have misappropriated the Association membership Subscription money. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the complaint has been lodged as early as on 19.09.2015, the same was not registered so far. Hence, this petition. 4.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the complaint was enquired into and closed by the respondent police and he has also produced a copy of the closure report. 5.

Recording the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, since the complaint has been already closed, this Court cannot give any direction and hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. However, the respondent police is directed to serve a copy of the closure report to the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
