None appears for the petitioner. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition challenging a distraint notice issued by the respondent Corporation for non-payment of arrears of property tax.

2. The Writ Petition has been admitted and an order of interim stay was granted. In 2012, counter affidavit has been filed stating that the petitioner is due and payable for arrears of property tax for 15 years to the tune of Rs.1,85,256/-.
3. In my view, at this distance of time, the impugned distrait notice cannot be enforced. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is allowed and the impugned distraint notice is set aside, giving liberty to the respondent to issue fresh notice and proceed in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
