When the matter was taken up for hearing today, an affidavit of the respondent was filed and the relevant portion is extracted hereunder, "...

I respectfully submit that I assumed office as the Inspector of Police, D-2 Selvapuram Police Station, Coimbatore City on 24.10.2024 and again after complying the defects of final report, I have resubmitted Final Report through e-filing vide No.LTN 20220002676c202500123, on 12.06.2025 before the Learned Judicial Magistrate Court No-V, Coimbatore and the same was yet to be taken on file."

2. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.V, Coimbatore to act upon the police report filed in Crime No.70 of 2023 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
