ORDER

Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate takes notice for respondents 1 and 2 and Mrs.D.Latha, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the 3 rd respondent. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider his representation dated 24.03.2017 and to issue allotment order for the Tamilnadu Slum Clearance Board Plot No.702, Door No.7/24, Bharathiyar Street, Nehru Nagar, Phase-I, Velacherry, Chennai-600042.

3. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's representation dated 24.03.2017, the 3 rd respondent has not passed any order so far.

4. Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that no relief has been sought as against the respondents 1 and 2.

5. Mrs.D.Latha, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 3 rd respondent submitted that the 3 rd respondent may be directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation in accordance with law.

6. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 3 rd respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 24.03.2017 and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
