O R D E R

The prayer made in the writ petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation dated 27.12.2016 and consequently directing the second respondent to conduct the Rathosavam Festival at Arulmigu Badrakali Amman Temple at Mecheri, Salem District during the Tamil month of Maasi i.e, (February - March 2017).

2. It is the grievance of the petitioner that a representation dated 27.12.2016 was submitted to the second respondent to conduct Rathosavam Festival during the Tamil month of Maasi i.e, (February - March 2017) at Arulmigu Badrakali Amman Temple situated at Mecheri, Salem District and the same was not considered so far. Hence, this petition.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE), on instructions, submitted that the respondents are taking all efforts to conduct the temple festival on the scheduled time. The said submission is recorded.

4. In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader (HR& CE), this Court is of the view that it is for the petitioner to approach the respondent concerned authority and obtain necessary orders, with regard to the conduct of Rathosavam festival during the Tamil month of Maasi i.e., (February - March 2017), at Arulmigu Badrakali Amman Temple situated at Mecheri, Salem District.
