ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) On the written examination being conduced, results were declared on 18.07.2015 for the post of Sub Inspector of Police, which was conducted in pursuance to the notification dated 08.02.2015. The petitioner was not successful. The petitioner, however, did not assail his non-selection at that stage though his case is that separate list ought to have been drawn on the basis of the cut off marks for persons who had studied in Tamil medium at school level.
2. The next stage was Physical Endurance Test, for which the process was completed between 03.08.2015 and 05.08.2015. The persons, who cleared the Physical Endurance Test, in a ratio of 1:2 were selected for the viva-voce stage, which started on 03.09.2015.
3. The petitioner, now filed the present writ petition, in fact, seeking redressal of his grievance arising from the written examination results declared on 18.07.2015 on the plea that some other persons were granted relief on approaching the Court.

We may notice that interim relief was granted to certain candidates predicated on the fact that if they are ultimately found eligible on account of the plea raised, their Physical Endurance Test process again would create a problem. The petitioner did not approach the Court at that stage, with the result that the Physical Endurance Test process is now over and at the viva-voice stage, he now seeks relief of parity with the candidates who approached the Court prior to the commencement of the Physical Endurance Test.

It is trite to say that in a large recruitment process, various grievances would arise and it is of utmost importance that the aggrieved party approaches the Court expeditiously so that the larger process is not stalled. This, the petitioner has failed to do and seeks to raise the issue belatedly seeking parity with persons who had approached the Court well in time and were granted interim relief for completion of their Physical Endurance Test. Such delay is fatal in this situation.
6. We are afraid no relief could be granted to the petitioner at this stage on account of his own delay and laches.
7. In the result of the aforesaid, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, M.P.Nos.1 and 2 of 2015 are closed.
