The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay difference in Leave Salary, Gratuity and pension arrears as per 14th wage settlement dated 24.08.2022 with 10% interest to the petitioners.
2. The petitioners were working as Drivers and Conductor in the 1st respondent Transport Corporation and got retired in the year 2020 and 2022. The petitioners made a representations to the respondents to pay the 2/5
difference amount of terminal benefits as per the 14th wage settlement along with 10% interest. Since the same was not considered, the petitioners have filed the present writ petition.

Learned Counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are entitled for the wage difference in accordance with the 14th wage settlement along with interest. In this regard, the petitioners have also given representations dated 11.03.2025 and 13.03.2025.
4. At this juncture, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents Corporation would submit that they would settle the eligible amount to the petitioners.

In view of the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to pay the eligible and admissible amount with interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of terminal benefits, from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursal of the terminal benefits to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5

In the result, the above Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
