This petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 3 to give police protection to the petitioner and his family members based on his representation dated 29.04.2019.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has already been armed with civil court order with regard to the right of hoisting of the flag during the church festival at Koovathur village.

Therefore, the respondents concerned may be directed to give police protection to the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel for the fourth respondent seeks adjournment for filing a formal counter.

4. It seems already there are some disputes with regard to the right of hoisting of the flag during the church festival at Koovathur village. It is also seen that the petitioner has already been armed with civil court order in this regard, and the festival for this year is to be held on 05.06.2019 like the previous years.

5. Considering the above facts, this criminal original petition is allowed and accordingly respondents 1 to 3 are directed to provide protection to ensure that there is no law and order during the festival to be held on 05.06.2019 at Koovathur village.
